Month-long season events have golden tickets that give players extra tasks and rewards.

In Nature Season 2 and most other seasons, buying a gold ticket cost $44.99. In contrast, buying a gold ticket as a gift for another guild member cost less: $31.49. (Prices may change in future seasons.)

Buying a ticket as a gift also gave the buyer additional rewards: 150 skin stone boxes, 3000 season exp, and 50 huge exp potions.

Both approaches gave the buyer VIP points.

Buying yourself a ticket costs full price.
Buying a ticket as a gift is cheaper.

The guild organizes a gift-giving chain to save money and get extra rewards.

If you don’t plan on buying a gold ticket or don’t want to be involved, you don’t have to join the gift chain.

Using this gift chain keeps most people from paying full price for a golden ticket.

Here’s how the gift chain works:

The easiest way to handle reimbursement is for two players to agree to be first & last in the chain, then switch places the following season. After that, two other players agree to be first & last. In the example, Andrew buys two tickets and Dave gets a free ticket. The following season, Dave buys two tickets and Andrew gets a free ticket.

Another way to handle reimbursement is for the last player to transfer money to the first player in the chain. One way of transferring money online is by using PayPal. (See below for more information.) If the two players involved agree to use some other method of payment, that’s okay.

Notes:

How to Participate

Go to the guild’s Discord server. Ask TwoShedsJackson for the link to the server. On Discord, post a message in the gold-tickets channel saying that you want to join the gift chain. Post “I want to join the gift chain.” or simply, “I’m in.”

We use Discord instead of guild chat because messages disappear quickly from guild chat. We need a record of which people are in the chain in case somebody tries to cheat the rest of the guild.

Two people have to volunteer to be first & last in the chain. They also have to agree on how they will reimburse each other.

Once the chain is organized, it will be posted in the gold-tickets channel. For example,

Andrew → Bob → Charlie → Dave

Andrew starts the chain, buys a ticket for himself, buys a gift ticket for Bob, and posts a message that says, “Ticket sent to Bob”

Bob buys a gift ticket for Charlie and posts a message that says, “Ticket sent to Charlie” and so on.

Don’t take a long time to send the next person a gold ticket. We want everyone to get their gold tickets quickly.

When someone sends you a gold ticket gift, you get it in the mail.

Once you own a gold ticket, the season event screen will have a link you can click to send gifts.

Getting the gift chain started is often slow and takes a few days. Players take time to decide if they want to spend money and who wants to start the chain. Differences in players’ time zones also cause delays. If we know an upcoming event involves getting VIP points, we won’t start buying tickets until the event starts.

While you’re waiting to receive a gold ticket, make sure you complete your daily quests anyway. Until you get your golden ticket, one of the daily quests stays hidden. The gold-tickets channel will have information about the hidden quests. This information will list all four daily quests for each day; make sure three quests match the ones you see in the game then complete the fourth quest. The image you see in the game next to “Gold Ticket required” should match the quest you need to complete.

Complete the hidden quests and you’ll get season exp in the mail once you get your ticket.

Notes on PayPal

Using PayPal lets you handle payments without the other party knowing your financial account information. It’s safer to use it with Nexters/Xsolla than letting them access your credit/debit card.

To transfer money via PayPal, you can send or request it by using the other party’s e‑mail address. Make sure the transaction is for “Friends and Family”. If you don’t want somebody on Hero Wars knowing your personal e‑mail address, make a second e‑mail address and add that to your PayPal account. I have a Two Sheds Jackson address just for this purpose. PayPal lets you use multiple e‑mail addresses with your PayPal account.

If you receive money, PayPal will charge you a fee if the money is sent to a credit/debit card. You can avoid that fee by registering a bank account with PayPal.

Transactions that involve a currency exchange and international transactions will have a fee. This fee will be small compared to the savings from not paying full price for a gold ticket. The person last in the chain will be responsible for paying the fee.

If the chain’s complete but somebody else wants a golden ticket, we can discuss forming a secondary chain.

If you have any questions, post a message in the gold-tickets channel.
